The employees were honoured at the recent enterprises Christmas party where they were presented with a certificate for years of service and a parting retirement gift by CEO Drew Beswick who had well wishes for the group.

“It is a credit to the employees and the staff that we have created a workplace culture where people want to come to work every day. Our enterprises are a place where people can find meaningful work, build skills and be part of a community.”

“The hard work and dedication shown from these employees has been absolutely outstanding. It is remarkable to think that these employees all began at Oak in the 1960’s and 70’s,” he said.

“I want to sincerely thank them for their years of service to the organisation.”

The emotional presentation was well received by all involved with retiring employee Sally Robertson taking to the microphone at the presentation.

“I want to thank everyone for their support over the years,” she said.

After working for 50 years, Christopher Hallet is enjoying his retirement and said he will have more time to indulge in his hobbies such as fishing. He was gifted with a new fishing rod, reel and tacklebox to add to his gear.
