Bringing disability services together

Following the merger with Possability 18 months ago, disability services have been brought together under the one brand name, Possability.

When the two organisations merged in 2016, the Board decided to continue to operate the two brands, Oak and Possability. However, now that we are further down the track we have realised that this approach can be confusing to clients and families where there are overlapping services.

To address this issue, we are bringing all disability services under the one name, Possability, effective from March 2018. This change affects Oak Community Services, Oak Residential Services and Oak Respite.

Going forward, the Oak banner will represent our work and training offerings through our social enterprises – Oakdale Industries, Walkabout Industries and Tahune Fields Nursery. Oak Training and Development will still continue to offer accredited training and Transition to Work programs.

Please be assured that this name change will not affect the day to day services that your family member receives, or the staff they work with. The changes will simply help us communicate our service offerings more clearly and improve efficiencies in our marketing – which means more resources for ongoing service improvements.

The diagram below illustrates the new focus of each brand.
