NDIS Rollout Continues

January 1 marked the date for the next age group to enter the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) as the rollout continues in Tasmania with people aged 29-34 years now eligible to enter.

Once fully implemented, the NDIS is expected to support about 10,600 people in Tasmania with disability and approximately 460,000 people across Australia by 2020.

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is implementing the scheme and will contact individuals who are eligible to ensure a smooth transition. The NDIA works with Local Area Coordination (LAC) Partners to assist people with disability and their families and carers to understand, access and navigate the NDIS.

Oak Tasmania is a registered provider under the NDIS. Read more about the NDIS and how we can support you on our NDIS information page.
