Our new Vision and Purpose

OAK Possability has launched a new Vision and Purpose.

As a newly merged organisation, CEO Drew Beswick said it was crucial that we have a shared Vision and Purpose that guides all our actions. They were developed after input from clients, staff and careful consideration from the Board and Management teams.

“ Our new Vision speaks to our strong belief that everyone should have the opportunity to realise their potential, whatever that might be,” Drew said.

“People with disability currently face significant barriers to community participation and employment.  Young people at risk also face many challenges to reaching their potential due to childhood trauma and disruptions to their education and social development. We are committed to doing all that we can to help people overcome these challenges and lead fulfilling lives,” Drew said.

The commitment to overcoming these barriers and changing lives has inspired our new Purpose, to be ‘Catalysts for Change.’

“We are making changes to adapt to the NDIS and other reforms and changing lives for the better – helping people find dignity in greater independence and work. We are helping people see what is possible and their capacity to grow. We can help change community attitudes for a more inclusive society,” Drew said.

OAK Possability has also developed a three year strategic plan that will work together with our new Vision and Purpose to guide our work for the future.

The Vision and Purpose was officially launched at the Oak Possability Annual General Meeting which took place on 8 November.
